Traditional Worship Celebration

We remember with honor the traditions that were impressed upon us by those who have gone before us - but are also open to the formation of new traditions to meet the needs of our growing congregation.

The children are invited to share in a teaching moment through the "Children's Message" - a unique object lesson which concludes with the Lord's Prayer.

The word of God is proclaimed through the reading of Scripture, and explained through the ministry of our pastors. Through our morning prayers and the partaking of Communion (held on the first Sunday of every month), we are reminded that we are one body in Jesus Christ.

Our music is carefully planned to better communicate the central message of the day.  For most of the year, our Chancel Choir helps to prepare our hearts and minds for worship as we sing from the United Methodist Hymnal and/or the Faith We Sing hymn supplemental book.  A glorious-sounding four-manual Welte-Tripp pipe organ, and a Steinway seven-foot grand piano accompany the singing

As a part of our vital and thriving music ministry, we also offer various handbell choirs; a multi-generational orchestra, a jazz ensemble, and vocal choirs for children, youth and adults.  We pray that our music blesses both the hearers and the performers as we all worship our Holy and Wondrous God together.

We invite you to view our schedule of worship times and encourage you to visit Grace United Methodist Church.
